The establishment of the Faculty of Law within Hacettepe University was submitted to the Presidency of the Turkish Council of Higher Education with the decision of the Hacettepe University Senate dated 01.05.2002, 7th session and numbered 2002-53, and the proposal for the establishment was approved by the decision of the Presidency of the Turkish Council of Higher Education dated 19.07.2002 and numbered 2002.7.70 and submitted to the Ministry. The establishment of the Faculty of Law under the Rectorate of Hacettepe University was decided by the Council of Ministers on 14.07.2005 upon the letter of the Ministry of National Education dated 06.07.2005 and numbered 15524, according to the additional article 30 of the Act No. 2890, dated 28.03.1983, and published in the Official Gazette dated August 5, 2005 and numbered 25897.
