With its 30% English-taught undergraduate program, Hacettepe University Faculty of Law aims to train legal professionals who can play an active role not only at the national level but also in the international legal arena, keep abreast of global legal developments, and communicate in multiple languages. In this context, the program aims to enable students to actively participate in the process of lawmaking, contribute to the development of legal culture and a sense of justice, and acquire the ability to evaluate both local and global issues from legal, philosophical, and sociological perspectives.
The program aims to guide students toward in-depth legal research and to make the scientific research process a natural part of their education. Since experience has shown that sustainable success in professional fields cannot be achieved without a solid academic foundation, students will learn how to effectively research and evaluate the information they need, thereby internalizing analytical thinking in both their academic and professional lives.
As part of the 30% English-language program, students will not only learn basic legal English but will also take certain required and elective courses in English. In this way, they will acquire versatile language skills in the areas of international treaty texts, legal correspondence, and comparative law. In addition, students will be equipped with skills such as oral presentation, written communication, professional interview techniques, and intercultural communication, and will study in an educational environment where they receive individualized attention through contemporary teaching methods based on classroom interaction.
